Languages!

Well I was looking at the facts and figures on the J's jewellery page, I love looking at these on the whole I haven't the faintest idea on how to use them but they look interesting and I'm sure that eventually I'll find out how to use them. So there I was walking through this garden of statistics and there were lots of things to see. So I investigated languages it never ceases the amaze me the languages that people speak, so there they are the languages of the world and the one that stands out  the most is English. So we have English English, American English, in fact all sorts of Englishness I always thought that English was just t he two languages - English and American but there in the column under English was English (Pirate) yes I kid you not. So who speaks this kind of English? I'm not sure but I have an image of Captain Jack Sparrow speaking Pirate English so anyone out there who knows what kind of English this is would they please let me know so that we can all know. So hopefully someone will be able to tell and I thank you in advance but if no knows we can all imagine a strange kind of English out there with really odd kinds of speech.

Christmas Cards

Well here I am and it's coming up to Christmas normally at this time of the year I would drive around and hand deliver the family cards. Usually it would take most of the day but it was really good fun about half of the houses I delivered to would have someone there and I would stop for a mug of tea and we would chat and then I would carry on and deliver more cards. I loved doing this meeting people chatting catching up on gossip all the things we all love to do. So it clicked this morning that I can't drive now and I've lost something really special. So to all my friends who I've not been able to deliver my cards to I'm really sorry, what I'm going to do is design a set of cards that I will print onto good quality water colour paper and then I'll hand colour them. So come the new year all my friends will be getting special cards from me and the boys. So for this year please accept my apologises it will not happen next Christmas.
         This has given me an idea so what I'm going to do is design, print and colour my own cards for next Christmas. So over the coming year I'm going to be designing these cards and when I've got the magic 12 cards that I like then I will print them out and colour them and come Christmas I will send them out in time. Actually I'm quite looking forward to designing the cards it's something that I've not done for quite a long time and I think it will do me a lot of good.

First one to start with

Well here I am starting a blog, I've talked about a blog before but always seemed to find a reason not to start the blog. So to Chris, my son, who writes +The Ramblings of a Mental Timelord thank you.

I want to try various things out and one is that I want to take a photograph of something in the garden everyday for a year. 

So by way of thank you for getting me going Chris I want to try and help you with  those jobs I seem to have avoided. I'm sorry that I didn't seem help you, so over the next few months I'll be doing those jobs and any others that I can help you with.

Having to stop driving.

Well the rules were laid down for me and I can't drive anymore, for the last few weeks I've had to ask for help in getting around. It's the little things I miss you know what I mean; the oh I'll just bob down to Leeds and get a few things well now where a job like that, that took a couple Hours it now takes most of the day and please don't forget anything because that means another day trip. So the question now is what do I do with my lovely Renault Megane, I've had a valuation and was pleasantly surprised at the value. So after Christmas I'll be selling my car which I do reluctantly but if anyone would like my car let me know and we'll see what can be done.
